Bristol Myers Squibb’s Worldwide Health Economics and Outcomes Research (WW HEOR) organization is seeking candidates to enhance our economic modeling capability. In this capacity the WW HEOR Market’s Lead, Economic Modeling, will champion best in class modelling methodology within WWHEOR Market’s and externally with key thought leaders to shape the external environment. Activities include: leading the BMS external strategy to evolve the assessment of overall survival in immuno-oncology; horizon scanning key developments in economic modeling methodology and international/ national standards and bringing this insight into BMS; partnering with BMS affiliates to advance national HTA agencies assessment of IO; and input to WWHEOR core model design; local model adaptations for Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and budget impact tools to ensure best in class methodology and optimal use by BMS affiliates.The successful candidate will report to the WW HEOR Market’s Lead, and will be based in Uxbridge, UK.

Key responsibilities include:• Develop best in class innovative modelling methodology that ensures optimum access for BMS portfolio.• Lead the BMS external strategy to evolve payer/HTA agency methodology in the assessment of the value of the BMS oncology portfolio.• Act as scientific leader to WWHEOR/Value Access Pricing (VAP) in the latest modeling methodology that optimizes the assessment of BMS products.• Horizon scan latest advances in modelling methodology from academia, payers and competitors embedding key learnings.• Partner with key BMS affiliates to implement strategies to evolve local HTA agency modelling methodology• Upskill members of the WWHEOR team on advances in methodology?• Monitor competitor modelling activities• Support TA team to deliver best in class economic models that meet BMS affiliates’ needs and ensure optimal use.• Provide modeling input to Value Story development and updates.• Interpret clinical studies results and plan additional statistical analyses needed for core models and model adaptations, including indirect treatment comparisons.• Presenting, obtaining feedback and re-analyzing model results, with a focus on the global market needs.• Lead publications of core global economic models.• Thought leadership on modeling internally and externally, to help shape the HTA business environment and standards.

Qualifications:• Doctorate Degree (PhD) in health economics or related relevant discipline and 5-7 years of health economics and outcomes research experience.• Experienced in developing health economic models.• Experience working with HTA and other consumers of health economic information.• Knowledge of epidemiology, economics, psychometrics and medical writing.• Previous experience in oncology.• Statistical skills, in particular in advanced survival analyses.• Experience using Visual Basic, and software such as TreeAge Pro, R, SAS, Stata, SPSS or WinBUGS for model development and data analysis.• Strong project management skills.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
