The strategy of Content Management is to create and evolve a global end to end content management capability and expertise to support business needs while driving efficiencies and effectiveness, defining operating models to support execution, drive and define processes and procedures, and manage day-to-day operations of capabilities.
Manages day to day content librarian operations and team of 3 librarians to provide user support of content library and content management systems
Oversees pull through of commercial content management operating model in support of the content management strategy
Partners with System Administrator to provide user support to content systems
Provides guidance to a team of librarians on implementation of content management processes and procedures
Provide content management functional expertise
Provide user support and data entry for content management systems including digital asset management system which serves as the central repository for all commercial materials and the review and approval system which together make up the commercial content management systems.
Responsible for managing library metadata, including quality assurance of content delivered to the library, ensuring content is available for reuse and searchable.
Supports and maintains the library’s digital collections; identifies and implements appropriate metadata standards; and works with Content Capability leads and the business in supporting the content strategy.
Supervises a team of 3 librarians with managing workload responsibility in support of content and systems-related support tasks, working with the System Administrator to prioritize support.
Provide guidance and maintain content management process documentation and processes for librarians
Manage collections of materials, both assets and content objects, ensuring content is tagged appropriately and is searchable
Ensure content delivery is being fulfilled as required
Manage content delivery and publishing
Partner with Content Capability leads to communicate content delivery into the asset management system and ensure metrics and reporting on content are available and reporting dashboard is kept up to date
Partner with management and system administrator in identifying needs for content management system capabilities and solution enhancement across the enterprise
Provide input into agency management ratings for performance and feedback
4 year bachelor’s degree
Library Science degree
Candidate should possess 3-5 years focusing on content management systems capability with deep expertise in content review and approval and content storage/digital asset management capability
Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities
Experience with content management capability, including managing library of assets and supervising a team
Candidate should possess skills within content management capabilities with deep understanding of Pharmaceutical marketing tactics/assets and creative design process (exposure to a regulated environment a must)
Proficient in understanding creative assets files and structure
Proficient in understanding and maintaining metadata/taxonomy schemes
Proven track record of supervising a team and managing workloads
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working with other teams to build relationships and alignment
Excellent planning, prioritization, management, and organizational skills
Excellent management skills, including directing agencies
Proficiency at demonstrating the Core BMS Behaviors
Software that must be used independently and without assistance (e.g., Microsoft Suite)
Microsoft Office, Macintosh and creative design software applications
Internal (Senior Management, Business Units across BMS, IT, other teams within the MC Hub, worldwide markets, Public Affairs, Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Compliance) External (Agencies, and joint venture partners).
