Serving as part of the Bristol-Myers Squibb's (BMS) Medical Field Force, the MSL IO - Diagnostic will act as a clinical and scientific resource responsible for the provision of scientifically based information in support of BMS and its approved oncology products and their companion diagnostic testing knowledge.• The MSL will be aligned with the BMS field medical function, working closely with the BMS field medical teams, and responsible for interacting with a targeted list of external Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in a defined territory.• The MSL will build peer relationships with these stakeholders and establish rapport by providing scientific education to pathology HCPs on the role of diagnostic testing for PD-L1, and other assigned biomarkers, and the role this testing plays in relation to immuno-oncology agents.• Additionally, the MSL will respond to scientific exchange on disease and investigational compounds or research areas.

Strategic collaborations to advance the science of oncology biomarkers
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains peer-to-peer relationships with critical stakeholders including thought leaders (TLs) and other HCPs specializing in oncology, immuno-oncology, and pathology.
Provides education of approved efficacy and safety information (1:1and/or group setting) to HCPs prioritized in collaboration with BMS medical affairs.
Accurately respond to on-label and off-label medical questions from HCPs in accordance with approved BMS guidance for the PDL, applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standard and by using approved content.
Identify opportunities to collaborate with HCPs on disease state initiatives of interest to and in alignment with BMS strategic objectives.
Document all interactions and activities in appropriate databases, retaining and submitting required expenses and meeting defined qualitative and quantitative objectives as defined by the medical force key performance indicators.
Complete a designated number of targeted customer interactions, including scientific exchange on per month, per quarter, and per year basis.
Participate in required therapeutic training and demonstrate knowledge communication information on disease area and mechanism of action; retain and relay information from key publications.
Identify, collect and communicate insights related to competitor medical information and physician practice trends.
Adhere to and manage travel and expenses to meet BMS policy.
Comply with approved BMS guidance, policies, and rules governing the implementation of the MSL role including but not limited to interactions with HCPs and BMS field teams (medical and commercial).
QualificationsAdvanced clinical/science degree: Degree in Biological Science or similar, PhD or MD preferred.
Previous experience oncology and/or diagnostics industry is not required.
Self-starter and ability to integrate and work in a cross functional network.
Ability to build productive work relationships both internally and externally.
