Bristol Myers Squibb R&D Business Continuity Management Lead in Princeton, New Jersey
The R&D Business Continuity Management (BCM) Lead will be responsible for developing and executing the BCM program vision and strategy within the Research and Development (R&D) organization.
The Lead will work with key R&D and BMS stakeholders to develop and document BCM standards and program objectives (including risk assessment and monitoring, contingency and disaster recovery planning, and management reporting) and lead implementation across the R&D organization. The Lead will direct the BCM planning and R&D-wide business continuity management program, and represent R&D in the Global Business Continuity team. In addition, the Lead will align with R&D senior management on the strategic goals and direction of the R&D BCM program.
The Lead will be responsible for coordinating with R&D divisional BCM representatives to ensure R&D divisions develop high quality BCM plans; as well as maintaining alignment with audit and compliance stakeholders. The Lead will also ensure that BCM processes are understood and approved; and when needed, elevate risks to the appropriate level of management with remediation recommendations. The Lead will stay informed of BCM standards and regulatory changes; and be the subject matter expert for BCM capabilities and discipline across the R&D organization. The role will also perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
The successful candidate will have:
in-depth understanding of business continuity management and governance frameworks
strong knowledge of business continuity/risk management standards and best practices
strong knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D
strong understanding of operational risk and Business Process improvement methods
demonstrated strong organization and collaboration skills
excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting
highly developed relationship management, influencing and leadership skills
BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred
7-10 years drug research/development experience
Experience in Business Continuity Management (or related discipline) preferred
Experience or ability collaborating with Senior Management
Experience in program management and leading projects with the ability to drive planning across divisions
Ability to build relationships and influence, and drive organizational engagement
