This position is part of the IT Service Management team providing process leadership for design, construction, and implementation of Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) process. The SACM Process Owner position is suited for someone with a passion for data integrity and a strategic vision.
Expectations of the role include the following:
Direct Service Asset & Configuration (SACM) process design, construction, and implementation in collaboration with Strategic Service Providers and Service Delivery Towers, and in alignment with ITIL recommended practices.
Act as change agent to instill process management practices enabling a capability based mindset within the IT organization. Experience with managing capabilities within the CMDB preferred.
Drive process improvement initiatives across the IT service delivery organizations sharing best practices to sustain process excellence and capability based planning.
Provides leadership and direction to configuration managers as direct reports, and others in a matrixed reporting relationship.
Ensure process (es) are harmonized and maintained in compliance with relevant external regulations and internal policies.
Focus on simplifying processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement throughout the IT organization. Develop supporting process documentation, including required procedural documents.
Collaborate with peers and interact with executives across the company to drive cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Lead cross-functional efforts to enable the IT transformation strategy.
Perform on-going monitoring of process effectiveness. Contribute to automation of process activities. Responsible for ensuring integration of process with input and output processes.
Implement methods to collect metrics to assist in understanding and measuring the effectiveness of current IT processes; suggest and champion process improvement initiatives based on metrics analysis; monitor improvement activities to ensure desired outcome is achieved.
Monitor the external landscape for new and innovative process improvement ideas, methods and trends and apply them as appropriate. Maintain knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, Master or MBA preferred.
10+ years’ work experience in a related field
Demonstrated delivery experience and knowledge of process management methodologies and IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL v3.
Passion and demonstrated track record related to process definition and execution in a capability based environment. Demonstrated ability in managing business and digital capabilities.
Strong communication, planning, organization, negotiation, influencing and collaboration skills. Provides leadership and direction to direct reports and those in a matrixed reporting relationship.
Passion and proven track record related to process definition and execution. Focus on understanding end to end process, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Resolves frequent conflicts in a mature manner. Acts with integrity and develops credibility.
Manages multiple priorities, challenges the status quo, and exercises diplomacy all while maintaining a comfort level for ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to manage through conflicting priorities and resource allocation decisions and bring teams to consensus.
Strong interpersonal skills and highly developed communication skills for effectiveness in face to face meetings, presentations and in written form and the ability to effectively build alignment and influence others in a matrix environment
Experience with the ServiceNow platform. Experience with managing capabilities within the CMDB preferred.
