Bristol Myers Squibb IT Business Partner, Innovative Medicines in Princeton, New Jersey
The Innovative Medicines organization is comprised of Cardiovascular, Fibrosis, and Immunosciences development and commercialization activities and operates in partnership with a strategic CRO. This role will partner with Innovative Medicines to drive the development of multi-year strategic digital capability roadmaps, informed and prioritized by business and IT in an enterprise context, to meet strategic needs. This role will lead the prioritization and development of strong and clear business cases for digital capability investments in support of the Innovative Medicines digital capability roadmaps. This role will be a critical enabler of business impact for the Innovative Medicines portfolio through understanding where BMS should be competitively differentiated through technology, solving business problems, and identifying opportunities for digital investment to competitively differentiate BMS and generate greater business value.
You will be a strategic partner with business leaders in Innovative Medicines through planning and delivering digital capabilities, safeguarding digital assets, and enabling strategic goals.
You will work closely with Innovative Medicines asset development teams to ‘mash’ innovative digital solutions together with the teams’ unique business problems to unleash value and competitive advantage for BMS.
You will own the digital clinical strategy and will be responsible for delivering digital solutions and services.
You will develop compelling business cases and define, measure, & achieve business outcomes for highest value (at the lowest cost).
You will partner with Digital Capability Management stakeholders and adjacent teams (e.g., Digital Acorn, Digital Hub), to create and mobilize cross-functional teams, and empower teams to fully execute against multi-year strategic digital capability roadmaps.
You will be deeply involved with key business activities and forums and be responsible for building and managing effective business partnership at all levels during project execution, taking full accountability for delivering the value proposition of IT.
You will proactively share external perspective on drivers and relevant technology trends in the business domain of observational research and bring new ideas.
You will influence the strategic thinking of senior business leaders and help business leaders to include future digital capabilities into their planning.
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience required; MBA strongly preferred.
Experience innovating and creating new solutions for R&D teams.
Experience spearheading business cases to secure digital capability investments.
Achievements in planning, executing, and communicating business change management to support digital capability investments, including business process changes to achieve maximum value from investments.
Demonstration of strong influencing skills with senior business leaders.
Results in working cooperatively across boundaries and leading matrix and cross-functional teams.
Experience and superior results in influencing business strategy and partnering with business leaders to on future digital capabilities and integration into strategic planning.
5 years in digital capacity with life science; Information technology etc.
