Bristol Myers Squibb Director, U.S. Policy Governance and Risk Management, U.S. Compliance & Ethics in Princeton, New Jersey

Bristol-Myers Squibb is looking for a Director of U.S. Policy Governance and Risk Management. This role will be responsible for:

Managing the ongoing implementation and improvement of the U.S. principles-based policy system.

  • Developing and implementing an effective leadership engagement plan that will provide practical tools and information to support business leaders in their assessment of and coaching of their teams’ transition to principles-based decision making;

  • Conducting ongoing needs assessment for new policies or revisions to existing policies to support the dynamic U.S. Market environment, and leading a cross-functional team to develop any needed policies and revisions; and

  • Providing ongoing innovative, effective and efficient training to support day-to-day principles-based decision making.

Implementating a proactive Compliance & Ethics leadership engagement program to ensure business leaders are responsible and accountable for risk assessment and management, and for maintaining a strong culture of integrity within the U.S. Market. Support business leaders in conducting risk-roll-up discussions with their team

Leading facilitation of the quarterly and annual healthcare law risk assessment tactics currently in development.

The ideal candidate will have:

At least two years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech compliance, law or a related discipline. Pharmaceutical business experience a plus.

Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment and developing effective relationships with business and functional partners at all levels of the organization.

Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical legal and regulatory environment (e.g., FDCA, False Claims Act, anti-kickback, privacy) and the focus of current federal and state enforcement

Outstanding leadership and communication skills

Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
