Bristol Myers Squibb Director, Oncology Pricing Strategy & Execution in Princeton, New Jersey
This role will report to the WW Lead, Oncology Pricing Strategy & Execution as part of the WW Pricing & Access Execution Organization. The Director, Oncology Pricing Strategy & Execution should possess a solid understanding of the current and emerging global Market Access and pricing environment in Oncology Medicines. This role will lead the development of pricing strategies for the Immuno-Oncology portfolio coordinating a cross-functional team to inform and develop these strategies. Accordingly, in-depth Pricing and /or Market Access experience from one or more countries is required.
The Director, Oncology Pricing Strategy & Execution will be responsible for developing and adapting the pricing strategy for BMS’ Immuno-Oncology portfolio. Strategic projects will include evolution of the Opdivo pricing strategy, development of pricing strategies for next generation compounds, combination pricing strategies for one or more IO products and other miscellaneous pricing strategy topics including dosing and formulation changes, fixed ratio combinations and business development opportunities. Additional responsibilities will include supporting key markets in their implementation of the IO pricing strategy including the evaluation and recommendation for exceptions to that pricing strategy with senior decision makers. Support the pricing impact and ROI for DEX related opportunities. Strategy development will focus primarily on ex-US markets however coordination with the US pricing team and strategy will be a key activity of the role.
Development of pricing strategy will be conducted in close collaboration with the relevant Market Access Strategy leads, pricing and access teams from local markets, Business Insights and Analytics, HEOR, and the WW commercial organization. The position is cross functional in nature and is part of a highly matrixed organization, working on a wide range of needs and issues from evaluating payer insights to influencing pricing strategies to reviewing and leading the approval of new business cases for in-market opportunities.
Develop Worldwide Pricing strategy for BMS' in-line and pipeline Oncology Medicines/assets by tumor/indication (e.g. OPDIVO®, YERVOY®, & Pipeline Assets (e.g. IDO, LAG3, & GITR)
Work with Commercial, Medical, Business Insights and Analytics teams and local markets to ensure relevant insights obtained to formulate Pricing Strategy
Support Key markets in the execution of pricing strategy including the business case and approval of exceptions to strategy
Provide insights into the impact on pricing for DEX opportunities and calculate the ROI associated with tnshe DEX optio
Support other ad hoc pricing projects as required
Monitor external environment and synthesize input to inform your strategy.
Effectively navigate matrix in order to develop and maintain positive relationships with other functional areas and Market Access colleagues in order to drive alignment, consistency where appropriate, best practice sharing, and flawless implementation of all Market Access activities.
Some international travel will be required
Required knowledge and capabilities:
Solid understanding of the biopharmaceuticals industry in oncology therapeutics;
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the bio-pharma industry with 3-5 years’ in Market Access, Pricing or HEOR
Demonstrated understanding of one or more P&R systems in BMS markets
Knowledge of the Product Development and Commercialization Process
Demonstration of all Core BMS Behaviors
Undergraduate degree required, MBA and/or post graduate degree preferred
