Delivertheexternal and internalstrategiccommunicationsplatformforthehead/neck, hematology and emerging tumor indicationsfor Opdivo, Yervoy, Empliciti and Sprycel; the therapeuticareasand brand initiatives, and messaging thatsupportthebroadercorporate objectives.
Collaborate with Commercialand R&Dteamstoposition Bristol-MyersSquibb as a leader in (immuno) oncology,developing stakeholderrelationships and managing thoughtleadership activitiesacross the therapeutic area attheworldwidelevel.
Collaborate with InternationalPublicAffairscolleagues to supporttheireffortsto successfullycommunicatebrand and therapeutic areamilestones.
Partner with corporate Content and Channels team to deliver an integratedsocial/digital strategy for therapeutic areas,disease awarenessprogramming, and supportBristol-MyersSquibb I-O/Oncology Leadership initiatives.
Overseebudget for and management ofexternalagencyresources.
Theposition requires a strong communicationsprofessionalwhodemonstratessound businessjudgment and can work closelywithseniorleaders in variousparts of theorganization tohelpdriveeffectivecommunications internally and externally.
10-12 yearsof experience in brand or corporatecommunications,publicrelationsagency or related field. A strategiccommunicationsbackground in healthcareispreferred.
Provenability to drivestrategiccommunication initiativesaligned with broadercompanyobjectives; and beable to quickly learn the businessandoperatewithin a complex,fastpacedandchanging environment.
Strong understanding of business is critical.
Mustbeable to manageand prioritizemultipletasksand projectswith a sense of urgency.
Excellentwrittenand oral communication skills.
Strategic,conceptualthinking and strong interpersonalskillsrequired.
Ideal Candidate Would Also Have:
Bachelors’Degreerequired, with a degree in communications or related field preferred.
Experience working in Oncology
An understanding of howpolicy,advocacy,pricingand access worktogethertoimplement integratedstrategies.
Solid understanding of thechanging globalmediaenvironment and therole of digital media in reaching key audiences.
Strong projectmanagementskills.Mustbeabletosuccessfullywork in a matrix organization,leadcross-functionalteams and managemultiplecomplexprojects.
Strong record of successand experience in leading and advising senior-and executive-levelemployeesandteams.
Abilitytoacquirebusinessacumenquickly and easily.
Proficiency with web-based,digital communicationsand internalsocialmedia tools a plus.
