The Lead, Data Operations Commercial Ex-US manages a team of Data Operations Functional Points and/or Operations Steward(s) within Commercial Ex-US and has day-to-day ownership of leading data management operations, processes and data quality in addition to leading and coordinating business requests on changes and enhancements. The Lead ensures that Commercial Ex-US data assets are understood, used and shared effectively throughout the organization, and will serve as the main point of contact for the Commercial Ex-US domain. The Lead possess the awareness of the Technology Platform strategy (C-SCAN, C-SCOR, DEL) and communicates with the markets. In addition to serving as the subject matter expert, the Lead will be knowledgeable of key groups and functionalities to appropriately delegate issues, incidents, and inquiries.
Leads meetings with Data Operations Functional Points and/or Operations Steward(s) to communicate and update teams with latest enhancements/application update, issues, escalations. Central Point of Contact for Issues with sufficient breadth and knowledge to delegate issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
Manages the C-SCAN/C-SCOR Data and Report Quality and co-ordinate with the relevant teams for issue resolution.
Responsible for communicating concerns about data quality to Data Owners, IT/LoB Stakeholders, and/or External Vendors
Works with and supports Data Owners to ensure owners have a practical understanding of front line entry and usage•Responsible for maintaining and updating critical data elements within the Enterprise Catalog
Escalates data related risks and issues to Data Owners, DOO and appropriate Data Governance Councils if necessary
Ensures data is managed in accordance with the BMS’s current data principles, policies and standards
Provides direction to Operations Steward/IT Ops in SDLC, Data Lifecycle, Application Run Support activities when the Functional Point is unable to resolve
Promotes and sustains Change Management agenda/activities to his/her domain(s)
BS in business required, MBA preferred
May require 30-40% of travel
7-9 years in Pharma or Biotechnical organization with data operations experience
May require alternate work schedule to accommodate for EU and Japan working hours
Strong communication and relationship building skills to establish trust and rapport with the BI&A and CMO teams
Data-driven, highly organized and detail oriented individual who has the ability to motivate other members of the organization to understand and support data management policies and procedures.
Well respected by peers and subordinates
Able to guide the analysis and discussion of issues facing the Data Operations Board
