Creates and maintains a productive partnership between the DPST business unit and the DPST ITBP team, where IT is seen as a partner in capability creation – process improvement, change management and technology deployment. Builds a compelling digital roadmap that focuses on the highest value capabilities required to achieve business unit strategic and tactical goals and serves as basis for multi-year planning. Achieves measureable outcomes by leveraging the broader IT set of services.
Collaborates with DPST business unit and management to decompose complex business problems, and help DPST articulate their information management challenges. With broader IT and management, communicates complex IT solutions into language that the business finds compelling. Constructs project approaches such that risks are revealed early, value is maximized, complexity is minimized and solutions do not exceed agreed problem boundaries.
At least 5 years of experience in bio-pharma related research and development IT.
BS/MS in related field(s) with IT experience, or BS/MS IT related degree with domain experience or both.
Requires a working understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering and bio-technology.
Must be able to understand the problem domain and business challenges.
5 years related domain experience or IT experience
Must have working knowledge of process improvement techniques (e.g. Lean) as well as current understanding of SDLC approaches (e.g. Agile).
Must have an effective working knowledge of technology trends.
Experience with pharmaceutical drug development or device development is a plus.
