Bristol Myers Squibb Data Excellence Specialist, Supply Chain in New Brunswick, New Jersey

The Data Excellence Specialist, Supply Chain is critical in managing, overseeing and leading initiatives for compliant, timely and accurate supply chain data to support supply chain systems, processes and objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Master Data Management (MDM)

  • Manage and ensure accuracy of appropriate training and supporting documentation (SOPs, Work Instructions, etc) to execute processes

  • Manage and analyze workflow data requests for compliance, accuracy and completeness

  • Execute data entry in key systems and oversee the end to end data management process

  • Ensure all lead-time service levels are achieved while maintaining data integrity

  • Design and drive user acceptance testing cycles for any system, data changes and/or disaster recovery efforts

  • Support key business initiatives by assessing data impacts (system, process, stakeholder), overseeing the execution of data remediation when appropriate, and providing feedback as a data operations subject matter expert

  • Educate team members, end users, and business leaders on MDM processes and the master data lifecycle to enable accurate, efficient, and timely quality processes and data

  • Oversight

  • Evaluate performance measures including data quality, process performance and system results vs defined targets and determines appropriate actions to improve

  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and drive resolution of data quality issues through the appropriate corrective and preventive actions

  • Continually seek and recommend process and system improvements aligning to strategic objectives

  • Coordinate data extraction, organization and analysis of the team KPIs

  • Maintain understanding, align efforts and initiatives to enable company and department strategy/goals

  • Support/drive department and company projects by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, delivering on assigned tasks, communicating status and resolving issues as appropriate

  • Collaborate with data owners to create new and maintain existing data standards

  • Train and advise team members on data standards to ensure all data management processes are adhering to the standards

  • Develop knowledge of complex product data relationships throughout the supply chain as well as Global Supply policies and objectives that impact product requirements

Experiences Required:

  • 5 years of experience with supply chain or enterprise data organization with experience in engaging multiple functional areas and business support systems (manufacturing, regulatory, commercial, quality, etc) with 2 years in a data management role desired

  • 2 years of experience working in a regulated industry, pharmaceutical industry desired

  • Self-directed with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, work independently and/or within a team, have a strong work ethic and high attention to detail

  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing projects, leading initiatives and teams, fostering a team based environment to establish and maintain cooperative relationships

  • Successfully operating with different organizational structures, operating cultures and effective work styles to achieve results in a changing environment

  • Demonstrated ability at:

  • Accurately identifying and summarizing trends and patterns

  • Learning new systems, processes, procedures, business rules and consistently applying to data execution

Knowledge Required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and process flowcharting

  • Understanding of end to end Supply Chain processes, principles and practices

  • Data management and governance processes knowledge

  • Knowledge and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), regulatory and environmental health and safety requirements

  • Data management systems knowledge, ideally in the SAP toolset (i.e. ERP, MDM, MDG)

Educational Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Information/Technology Management, Business, Industrial Engineer or equivalent

  • Advanced degree, diploma or certification(APICS CSCP or CPIM) in Data or Supply Chain Management preferred
