Bristol Myers Squibb Director Business Insights & Analytics, Oncology (m/w) in Munich, Germany


  • Proactively partners and acts as a thought partner with the Oncology team to identify the key business questions

  • Leads a team that generates and embeds analytics and insights into decision-making

  • Collaborates with in-market, worldwide, functional stakeholders and BI&A teams to identify questions and develop an integrated plan leveraging the full range of insights and analytics tools

  • Pro-actively looks for opportunities to synthesize from data from multiple sources to develop realistic, insightful and actionable recommendations

  • The scope includes national and sub-national data for decision science, business performance reporting, forecasting, primary and secondary market research

  • Leads the development and deployment of innovative BI&A approaches, therapeutic area learnings and best practices within the global BI&A structure

  • Builds relationships and effectively influences all senior management stakeholders (GM, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Operations and Finance)

  • For Germany and select priority European Oncology markets – drives functional capability development

  • In partnership with the Worldwide Team, supports forecasting enablement

  • Scans marketplace (both pharma and non-pharma) to continuously identify best-in-class capabilities

  • Designs and implements commercially related BI&A training/continuing education programs for the team

  • Serves as the strategic point for cross functional capability development within the broader BI&A organization

  • Provides strategic direction on the evaluation, improvement, and development of functional capabilities related to econometric modeling, segmentation, test & learn frameworks, customer analytics and multi-channel analytics

  • Identifies existing/evolving analytics capabilities across countries/brands and synthesizes findings for comprehensive use within the commercial enterprise


  • University degree

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical/related market experience, including working knowledge of various analytical and Market Research capabilities, acquired in multiple countries

  • Strong management skills and ability to lead and coach a team

  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues and present to business stakeholders

  • Experience delivering superior analysis and embedding insights to drive strategic and operational business decisions
