Under the general guidance of Director, Biologic Supply Planning, accountable for development and ongoing effective and efficient execution of the following as assigned:

GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESSES with the following specific process elements:

  1. Provide comprehensive information, analytics and visibility around Product Supply, Demand, and Inventory status to Supply Chain Product Leaders, S&OP Business Owners, and Global Supply Chain (GSC) Management.

  2. Appropriate, but robust integration with Global Brand S&OP process and Global Metrics areas.

  3. Appropriate, but robust integration with other mega processes e.g. New Products Launch Management and Business Continuity process.


  1. Provide analytics for key brands, as assigned, that support on target service levels to balance supply and inventory levels.

  2. Provide support to the preparation of the Global Brand S&OP meetings, the Supply Chain and the Regulatory & Supply sub-team as part of the Global Operations Team (GO-Team) structure

  3. Support SCPLs and S&OP Business Owners to develop specific ad hoc analysis.


  1. Worldwide scope with focus on top countries, key brands and early assets

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for developing and maintaining consistent Product information and analytics for assigned brands

  • Accountable for running pre-analysis of the Key Supply Chain indicators (Customer Service, Forecast Accuracy, Demand Variability, Inventory) to support the SCPLs in the preparation of the Global Brand S&OP meetings.

  • Facilitate the Annual Product Review preparation in compiling Supply Chain data, conducting analyses, and formulating storyboards.

  • Support the SCPLs in updating (or creating) the Annual Product Strategy Booklet.

  • Support the SCPLs as part of the monthly EIO cycles in reviewing the data used to revise business continuity safety stock levels.

  • Facilitate the review of the Product trends (volumes and inventories) as part of the Budget and Projections exercises.

  • Check all meetings: GBS&OP, Supply Chain and Regulatory & Supply sub-teams are in place and assure adherence to plans and scope.

  • Develop strong relationships across SCPLs and with Global Demand Analytics, Global Metrics and Supply Network Planning teams.

  • In conjunction with the rest of the GSC functional teams and GMS partners, ensure policies and procedures are in place which meet compliance requirements

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the global practices where business is conducted.

Experience I Knowledge Desired:

  • B.S. or BA in supply chain management, science and/or engineering (biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or related sciences). Master or advanced degree (sciences or business) preferred

  • 5-8 years of supply chain management and planning experience for a reputed, global or multi-plant Biotech, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product company utilizing world class supply chain planning and execution processes

  • Experience with site capacity planning and/or global product supply planning and knowledge of Biotech, Pharmaceutical Sales & Operations Planning processes.

  • Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably SAP ECC, BW/BI, SNP APO, and Kinaxis RapidResponse)

  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements

  • Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global advanced planning and scheduling systems

  • Exposure and experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level

  • Experience in working internationally in a fast paced, reputable global Biotech / Pharmaceutical or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure
