Bristol-Myers Squibb is currently seeking to recruit a Finance Analyst on a Fixed Term Contract to support the Financial Shared Services team (FSS).

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, Financial Shared Services (FSS), the Finance Analyst will provide financial support to the Ireland operations of Bristol-Myers Squibb. The role involves considerable interaction with cross functional colleagues both in Ireland and the US.

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for a full range of accounting support including Balance Sheet reconciliations, Financial Analysis, Journal Entry preparation and approval, FX reporting and analysis, and support for Fixed Assets / Projects within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Manager & Department Managers in respect of both financial & operational aspects of the business.

  • P&L / Balance Sheet Variance Analysis

  • Maintenance of General Ledger including Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Management of global Intercompany Back-charges for trading partners

  • Direct Invoice Coding (most notably with the ME)

  • Support both internal and external audits

Fixed Assets

  • Responsible for all aspects of fixed asset accounting, controls and reporting

  • Provide financial and analytical support to the business on capital projects

  • Support the Biologics site fixed asset register set-up


  • Review and approve routine journal entries

  • Participate in / Lead and Implement Global/local projects related to FSS environment

  • Managing of Month End Intercompany processes and improving understanding and visibility of processing and actions to Global COE team

  • Responsible for FX Reporting - issuing FX Rates and running FX revaluation reports

  • Provide data for Projections & Budgets submissions

Financial Analysis

  • Responsibility for monthly balance sheet reconciliation and ensuring that actions are taken on outstanding items in a timely manner.

  • Provision of key financial data to support board meetings regarding sign-off of accounts and payments of dividends and royalties

  • Compiling and analysis of balance sheets and operating cash flow, liaising with International Treasury and local financial/procurement functions to ensure accurate budgeting, projection and analysis of such to actuals

  • Compiling and analysis of regular and ad hoc corporate requests.
