Bristol-Myers Squibb is in the final stages of completing a new state of the art large-scale biologics manufacturing facility in Cruiserath, Dublin 15, approximately $1 billion investment. Once completed, the new facility will significantly increase Bristol-Myers Squibb’s biologics manufacturing capacity and play a central role in its global manufacturing network
Reporting to the Site General Manager, Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking to recruit a permanent EHS Director to develop, plan and execute all environmental, health and safety strategies and programs as well as creating and effectively sustaining a productive work culture to prevent and avoid injuries and environmental incidents, with the ultimate vision of delivering an injury-free workplace.
A typical day might include the following:
Guarantee compliance with Irish, European Laws and company requirements.
Develop and implement all components of the EHS management system, which includes: Safety Programs, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Solid Wastes and Wastewater, Air Emissions, Crisis Management Program, EHS permitting, and ensure alignment with Global EHS directives, guidelines and procedure.
Develop and implement site biological safety program.
Establish and communicate strategic and business objectives for EHS, consistent with company biologics strategy.
Identify key EHS metrics, requirements and infrastructure to ensure sustainable compliance and achievement of EHS site goal that contribute to overall BMS Sustainability Goals.
Manage a team of resources to address priorities, meet schedules, maximize productivity, increasing efficiencies and develop current and future leadership.
Manage annual operating budget and staffing level, and manage operations to achieve them.
This job might be for you if:
You hold a BEng, BSc. or related discipline.
You have a minimum of 10 years industrial experience in EHS at management level within a biopharmaceutical site.
You have demonstrated strong leadership and project management abilities, proven decision making ability and the ability to work well with and influence all levels of management.
You are able to interact with a broad range of disciplines and exert positive influence within internal matrix teams across a variety of functions.
